Cheatham Hill Engagement | Melanie + Matt

When Melanie and I first emailed back and forth, it was clear we were an instant match. (Much like these two felt when they first met!) Through our options of time and day, they chose a sunrise engagement session, as it was different, unique and set-apart from most. I was all in, because this meant I could introduce them to my favorite field, which is best in the early morn.

Melanie + Matt met at a mutual friend’s rooftop party. They had both previously entertained the dating app life and found it exhausting and more of a chore. However, when they ended up next to each other in conversation on a casual day, without preconceived expectations or a “dress to impress”, they found themselves in an instant friendship. It was easy, it was fun, and 100% natural. Neither of them expected to walk away that night with a new interest, and a future spouse. Fast forward to today, they are planning their wedding, alongside their fur-child, Tucker. Melanie + Matt have such a sweet silliness to their relationship (as every good and lasting love should!). They speak the same language and make each other belly laugh. They even began a Beyonce dance breakdown during our time together, and it may have been my favorite part of the morning. Let’s be real, the entire thing was my fave. They get married in March! <3
