The Duck Pond Engagement | Kathryn + Matt

Katie and Matt, and their little fur baby are a little dream team. We met up at the Duck Pond on a beautiful evening and had such a laid back time together. (They even brought champagne to make this session a little more relaxed, and a few snacks!) I had them start off slow dancing, just to connect and we played their favorite tunes. I loved Katie’s choice of dress and how it flowed as she turned, walked, moved- really anything she did, the dress complimented. I also love that when we booked this session, they weren’t even engaged yet! They were looking for a fun session to capture their little family (their pup addition was recent and just look at that sweet face!) and in the months between, Matt proposed. Their session just happened to be perfectly placed to commemorate!

There was such a calm, restful, romantic connection between Katie and Matt. As the sun was setting behind the pond, they changed into their second outfit and the mood turned cozy and cuddly. This location is quaint, and yet holds so much beauty. I love that it has a neighborhood feel, but also a secret garden kind of vibe. These are my kind of people, and my kinds of sessions! The laid back, the real, a lighthearted time spent being creative and capturing all the love (and furry sweetness).
