Decatur Engagement | Jessica + Andrew

It was April of 2018 and I had just finished shooting a wedding at the Solarium in Decatur. If you live in Atlanta, you know that Spring comes and goes like the wind, and you have to catch it at just the right moment. We had Jess and Andrew’s session planned for the day after, and as I turned to glance across the street, these pink beauties were staring right back at me. I knew we had to begin here. Jess and Andrew were one of my favorite couples ever to capture, because they are together and separately so special to me. I remember standing at the kitchen sink in the house where Jess and I were roommates (literally- we shared the master bedroom and a bunkbed!) when I got the call from her. She was in Colorado for the summer on a leadership retreat and “met a boy”. The tone in her voice made it known that this was different. I flew out to Colorado to drive back with her when the summer had finished, only to learn that the cute boy named Andrew was going to journey alongside with his vehicle and another great friend, Stephen. We had the most memorable road trip and 6 months later they were an official couple. I knew when I met Andrew that he would be my best friend’s person. And I couldn’t be more grateful that this turned out to be true.
